This art has transformed over the years, original concept for the focal point of the art still remains timeless. I chose the style and shape from an early 70's bag collection and styled it off that. From there. I went full tilt. Making my own patterns and shapes from one end to the other. Each of the studs are hand set- especially the little tiny ones. Those were the hardest for me because I had to use tweezers to pick them up and set the into place. And when you see how many there are...it's crazy town. But that's what I wanted. I wanted this to be for that one person. That person who is bold in their style and personality. Bright colors paired with rich ox-blood. I left areas of the piece in a natural unfinished leather called vegetable tan. This will continue to change color over time building a rich brown tone. Every piece of this was hand cut and colored. No other leather has this look or feel anywhere in the world. This is a complete one off collectors piece.
The bag opens and closes with a custom twist latch. This way you can lock it or leave it unlocked so you can get in and out easily. The curb chain that attaches to the shoulder strap is done in stainless to keep that forever shine. The shoulder strap continues the flavor of the bag with an additional hand tooled feather across the top. I wanted to make this a really versatile piece so I made the shoulder strap clip at two separate points so that you can carry it over the shoulder or- un-clip the chains from the shoulder strap clip the strap directly to the ring at the feathers making this feel more like a large handbag or forearm carry.

Bag comes in at roughly 3-3/4 deep by 9-1/2" tall by 10" wide
The shoulder strap adds 18-1/2" to the hanging length from the top of the bag- making the bag hang from the shoulder to the bags bottom a length of 28-1/2" inches. For my wife who is 5'-6" it hangs perfectly at her mid waist.
I'll never forget, when my wife came down into shop one night as I was half way through design and assembling it. She said you know you have have spent well over 40 hours on that piece...I was like babe, it's not about the time on this piece of art...it's about completing the vision that continues to haunt me... I can't tell you how many hours I spent putting this together, because sometimes it's not about that. It's about the vision coming to life. I know this piece is not for everyone. It's done that one special individual. I made it for you. I just don't know who you are yet. But it's waiting for you....
